Scheffler Leads Fedex Cup Standings By Sizeable Margin

Scottie Scheffler Holds Commanding Lead Heading into FedEx Cup Finale

Scheffler Leads FedEx Cup Standings by Sizeable Margin

Scottie Scheffler will enter the season-ending Tour Championship with a commanding lead in the FedEx Cup standings. The 26-year-old American has amassed 3,993 points through the first three events of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, giving him a 643-point advantage over second-place Patrick Cantlay.

Scheffler has been in impressive form since winning the Masters Tournament in April. He has recorded seven top-10 finishes in his last nine starts, including victories at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Memorial Tournament.

If Scheffler wins the Tour Championship, he will be awarded the FedEx Cup title and a $15 million bonus. He will also earn a berth in the Presidents Cup team that will face the International team in September.

Other Contenders in FedEx Cup Race

While Scheffler is the clear favorite to win the FedEx Cup, several other players are still in contention. Patrick Cantlay is Scheffler's closest pursuer, and he will need to win the Tour Championship and have Scheffler finish outside the top five to claim the title.

Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy, and Jon Rahm are also in the mix. Schauffele is third in the standings, 875 points behind Scheffler. McIlroy is fourth, 955 points back, and Rahm is fifth, 1,075 points behind.

Tour Championship Format

The Tour Championship is a four-day, no-cut event that will be played at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia. The field will consist of the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings.

The tournament will use a staggered scoring system, with the leader starting at 10-under par. The player in second place will start at 8-under par, and so on.

The player with the lowest score after 72 holes will win the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup title.
